How to draw a Sun?

Introduction:

Hello, parents and teachers! Today, we’re going to learn how to draw a bright and cheerful sun and fluffy cloud. Drawing and art play a significant role in children’s development, helping to develop their drawing skills, patience, and attention to detail. Remember, practice makes progress, and each drawing is a chance for your child to express themselves. So, gather some crayons or markers, and let’s dive in!

Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Draw a Sun

Step 1: Start by drawing a big, round circle in the center of the page. This circle will be the base of our sun.

Step 2: Now, let’s add some sun rays to make our sun shine even brighter. From the edge of the circle, draw straight lines pointing upwards and back towards the circle’s edge, creating a gap between the lines near the circle. Repeat this step, gradually drawing longer rays as you go around the circle. Aim for around 13-15 rays.

Step 3: To give our sun some personality, let’s add a friendly face. Draw two eyes and a smiling mouth. Feel free to add rosy cheeks too!

Step 4: Time to add some color! Encourage your child to use a bright yellow crayon or marker to color in the circle and the sun rays.

Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Draw a Cloud

Step 1: Start by drawing a curved line at the bottom of the page. This will be the lower edge of our cloud. Imagine you are drawing the letter “C” lying on its back. Repeat this step to connect 4 or 5 “C” shapes together, creating a long uneven line.

Step 2: Now, draw another curved line upside down above the first one, parallel to it. This line will create the top edge of our cloud.

Step 3: Great! Now, let’s add some more clouds to fill in the sky around the sun. Encourage your child to draw clouds of different sizes and shapes. They can be round, oblong, or whatever they like!

Step 4: Let’s give our cloud some volume. To achieve this, ask your child to draw little lines at the ends of some of the “C” shapes they drew for the cloud. This adds depth and texture to the drawing.

Step 5: It’s coloring time! Invite your child to use a light blue crayon or marker to color in the cloud. Remind them to color gently and use light strokes to create a soft and fluffy effect.

Conclusion:

We hope you enjoy this easy and fun drawing tutorial. Remember, it’s absolutely normal if your drawing doesn’t look perfect on the first try. The essential thing is to have fun and enjoy the creative process. Drawing and art are incredible ways for children to develop their skills, patience, and attention to detail. So, keep up the great work, little artists, and keep on creating!
